Praying for Our Churches
The Deschutes association spreads across Crescent, Harney, Deschutes, Crook, and Jefferson counties displaying God’s beauty in His creation from the vast high desert, deep desert canyons and river gorges to the peaks of the Cascade Mountains, ski resorts and hiking trails. Each town has a particular beauty to behold in not only its natural surroundings, but also its deep heritage. Our churches have the privilege of serving these communities.
The challenge we face as an association is that because we are so spread out geographically, it can make collaborative efforts more difficult. Fortunately, our communities find great value in community involvement and in some ways, open to the Gospel message.
- Pray for spiritual growth within our congregation and community that we work together as a unified body with a mission to spread the Gospel.
- Pray for our churches to proactively and intentionally engage the youth in our communities and share the love of Christ with them.
- Pray that we prioritize identifying, raising up, and equipping next generation leaders.
- Pray for our pastors and leadership teams to be unified in the vision and mission of the church and seek God's guidance and wisdom in developing and equipping staff teams.
- Pray that our churches intentionally seek to serve the needs of our communities and follow God's guidance in meeting those needs.
