Women's Camp

July 14-16, 2023 at Camp Tadmor

Come Closer

"And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ." - 1 Corinthians 11:1

Discipleship. It may be the most important tool given to us to shine the light of Jesus to everyone in our lives. Jesus rooted every interaction He had in discipleship. Teaching, walking alongside, eating with, stopping to give care and compassion no matter what else was going on in His day. The Bible is full of beautiful examples of discipleship relationships that we can learn from and emulate.

As Jesus' last commission to His own disciples, the idea of discipleship is paramount to ushering in the Kingdom of God. This may sound daunting, overwhelming, in your current season of life. At Women's Camp 2023, we hope to simplify the idea of discipleship. We'll start with this: discipleship depends on each of us coming closer to Jesus. Remaining in Christ throughout each day. Being rooted in God's word and allowing Jesus to consistently minister to our hearts.

We cannot bring others closer to Jesus if we aren't steadily walking closer to Him ourselves. Jesus emulated this beautifully by going off by Himself often to pray. Our connections to Jesus will change the lives of those around us. Please join us for Women's Camp 2023 as we learn together how to disciple the people in our lives no matter what life stage we are in, and how to do that out of our own rootedness in Jesus.

Save the Date

Women's Camp is an event designed to bring women together from our community of churches for a time of a REST:
Refreshed from normal routines and responsibilities
Encouraged to look beyond ourselves, to build disciples in your current mission field
Stimulated to see God's perspective in our lives
Transformed and redirected toward God

Speakers

Angelene Garlinghouse and Tiffany Hull
Angelene Garlinghouse and Tiffany Hull

Angelene Garlinghouse grew up, as a missionary kid, on a Jicarilla Apache reservation in NM. She married her high school sweetheart over 25 years ago and together they have 6 children: four of whom are now adults. Her husband is currently a lead pastor in McMinnville, OR.

Angelene has been involved in ministry for most of her life and has a heart to disciple women to be all God created them to be. Angelene is also a full time fourth grade teacher at a small Christian school, leads Women's Ministry, Kid's Ministry, and co- teaches a lady's Sunday School class. In her free time, Angelene enjoys thrift shopping, swimming, and being with friends.

Tiffany Hull is a Pastor's wife who loves walking alongside others in discipleship. She believes in growing intentional relationship with Jesus and others. She has served alongside her husband, Jackson, in ministry for 26 years. With ministry, being a realtor, and keeping up with her adult children, she's never bored!

Worship

Kristi Knott
Kristi Knott

Kristi Knott will be joining us once again to lead us through worship, and we're so excited! As a teen, Christ grabbed Kristi's heart, and opened her eyes to the magnificence of the grace of God because of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. Twenty years later, who God is and what He has done continues to amaze Kristi and grow her passion to lead others to know, love, and worship Jesus the Lord. Kristi Knott is a wife and a mom to three growing teenagers. She is also the Women's Growth Group Director and a worship leader at Good Shepherd Community Church in Boring, Oregon. During her free time, she enjoys making memories with her husband and kids, and friends. They love going on adventures, whether that be mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, or anything else outdoors.

Workshops

We're delighted this year to hear from Heather Schumacher and Mary-Alice DeBoer in two different workshops! They will be sharing about distinct aspects of discipleship. Make sure you catch both workshops!

Crafts

(located in the Lakeside Dining Hall)

Imagine yourself at Tadmor, sitting at a craft table with your friends, watching women lounge on the grass and splash in the water. The sun glints off the lake, the air is mountain fresh and warm, and you have no where else in the world to be.

Wasn't it great to have crafts at Lakeside Dining last year? We get to enjoy that again this year, and these are the crafts you can choose to do! We're so grateful for Laura's hard work on these beautiful crafts. Whether you're a crafting pro, or consider colored pencils and paper intimidating, Laura will be there to help in anyway you need. Our hope is that you can enjoy time in the shade with your friends, and maybe create something beautiful while you're there!
